Jeep Repair: 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee, jeep grand cherokee, bremen ga

I have a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee I have sort of the same problem that Ive read on a previous page. A lady wrote to you about taking her jeep to 5 or 6 garages and each charging an arm and a leg to find they didnt know what they were doing. Any way I live in Bremen Ga I am a woman and of course around here most mechanics thinks a woman is the most gullable thing they can talk to when it comes to vehicle repairs. I took mine several places and got the same answers normal leakage of freon just recharge it. I did the next summer last year same thing recharged it again. This year I was driving it quit blowing air. Took it to a shop who informed me about the small round black thing that he tapped with a metal rod mite have been a screw driver. but it came on began cooling. it didnt do again for about 2 weeks it did it again took it to same guy who said the black thing had a short in in that i should get some one to take it down and check the wiring. He did wasnt that then he said that fan in it was going out needed WD40 I didnt do it I saw that bigged black thing toward the middle had a crack in it. I didnt notice it till I was driving it the next day and I noticed a drip its not a bad crack but its cracked and no air. It blows but not cold. I took it to same guy who told me he didnt do it but he would be glad to fix it. I got very upset and Im 3 questions away from being EPA certified only because im tired of the crap. Till I did a search and found you. Can you tell me what may be wrong or should I just sell it. Im tired of waisting money. Thanks Helena

Well  I would say  that u cant in fact trust what they say because they are leading around all over the place. I will tell u what i can do  I did a job for some nice people on here that live in Douglas ville and u are right down that area.
