Jeep Repair: 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, jeep grand cherokee, jeep grand cherokee limited

Question
I was driving my '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited when the Anti-lock brake warning light came on and shortly after, so did the brake light. I pulled off to the side and turned off the ignition.  I had my jeep towed to a garage.  The garage owner couldnt find anything.  he said the brakes are fine.  I drove it home and everything seemed alright.  The next morning, my sister used the jeep to go to the store and it happened again.  She said it would go on, then go off again. Do you have any idea what may be causing the problem?  I've been having alot of problems with my jeep.  The check engine light used to come on at least once a month.  Even after I had it serviced.  Unfortunately, I can't afford to get another car.

Answer
I am not sure what is going on.  You may have a wheel speed sensor going bad, you could have low brake fluid (some people look over this), you could have an alternator going bad.  The only thing I could suggest is if the light comes on head straight for a shop and don't cut the engine off, have the shop scan the computer for codes, they should still be in the computer if you don't turn it off.  Hope I could help you and God Bless!
