Jeep Repair: 1994 Grand Cherokee power steering, power steering pump, clutch systems

Question
forget the semantics and the master cylinder description.  It's a '94 Jeep GC 4.0L 6 cyl and the power steering pump is leaking badly.  How easy is it to replace?  If I am not as stupid as you think I am, so can I do it without a mechanic?

The master cylinderstarted showing signs of a leak, so I added fluid and sealant, but now the power steering is out completely.  The master cylinder started making noise, which grew louder and louder.

Got it home but couldn't turn into the garage and leaking big time now.

How hard is it to replace the master cylinder?

You're talking two different languages here.  A "master cylinder" is used on brake and clutch systems.  Both have Reseviors.

A power steering system has a pump with a resevior and then a steering gear elsewhere in the system.

If you're talking about power steering then you will need a new pump and resevior.  While you have it off buy a new power steering pump bracket.  It's the aluminum triangle shaped component behind the pump that mounts it to the engine.  They frequently break which could cause damage to the pump and resevior all over again.

I think you lack the ability to understand why your own lack of understanding of your own vehicle was adding to the difficulties of me offering free and courteous advice to you.

So... do I think you have the ability to fix your own car?  I don't know you well enough.  I would venture to guess that you DON'T have the intelligence to ask for the right part at the parts store, you'll be too pig headed to get a book and plan out how to do the job and when you finally break down and ask for help from someone you'll be quick to snap at them too for simply pointing out how you're making it more difficult for them to help you.

Next time you want help try a little humble pie.  Feel free to give me negative feedback.  You're one person and I've helped more in the past and will help more in the future who don't have their head up their ass.
Good luck with your Jeep cupcake.
