Jeep Repair: 1993 Jeep Wrangler, air fuel ratio, fuel pressure regulator

Question
My Jeep acts as though it isn't getting any gas.  It starts fine but once you get a mile down the road behaves as if it is running out of gas.  It doesn't stall it just won't go.  We have changed every darn sensor, the fuel pump and all.  Next we're looking at changing the engines electrical box.  Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Answer
Hi Beth,

A few things you may want to check into that could be causing your drivability problems are: A clogged catalytic converter,  malfunctioning EGR system, you may have a defective fuel pressure regulator or the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) may be malfunctioning. The ECU meters air fuel ratio and fuel availability to the injectors. Testing for the above is usually done at a shop as most do it yourselfers don't have the equipment to do so themselves.

I hope this helps,
