Land Rover Repair: Range Rover key wont turn or start, bearer of bad news, best guess

I drove my 2004 Range Rover yesterday and it started up perfectly, I parked and waited about 20mins to pick my daughter up from school, I tried to start it but nothing happened disconnected the battery then reconnected and still won't start had to have my truck towed home now the key wont turn :-( please help me

It sounds like you have suffered a failure of the steering column.  That is a common problem with trucks you your year/model.  Depending on the repair needed you could be looking at a $2,000 job.  I'm sorry to the bearer of bad news but that is my best guess
