Land Rover Repair: low coolant land rover lr3, land rover lr3, specific gravity

Question
replaced low coolant  sensor only not tank. this did not clear the low coolant message. any ideals

Answer
Yes - the float for the sensor is part of the tank.  You need to replace the tank, and also make sure you have the correct mix of the correct coolant, because the specific gravity will be off if there is too much coolant (vs. water) and that will sink the float too.  Tank is under $100

I know it's a surprise - you think changing the sensor does the job but most times we change the whole tank now, and it includes the sensor
