Land Rover Repair: freelander, engine cooling fans, coolant level

Question
I have recently had the engine replaced on my Freelander 1800K series the engine cooling fans are continuley running even when engine is cold. What could the problem be?

Answer
The first thing I would check would be the coolant level.  Make sure the system has been bled out properly as well.  Check for cold spots on the radiator.  If found, replace blocked radiator.  The cooling fan module also fails regularly on these cars.
