Land Rover Repair: brake squeal, brake pads and rotors, brake squeal

Hello. 2004 Disco SE 35k with no problems/vices other than brake squeal. My local dealer says brake squeal is a dirty word and there will NEVER be a solution to this issue due to abestos being the ideal brake compound material. The brakes have squealed since 18K when I took over ownership approx 3 years ago. The tyres, brake pads, and rotors are all fit and the dealer confirms this. Any solutions ideas? I dont mind being noticed after squealing to a halt, shes a beaut. I just dont care for the sound.

The OEM pads are notoriously squeaky on this model.  I have had good luck with both Akebono and Wagner Thermo Quiets on these cars.  They are both premium pads which do not squeal.  Replace your pads with either of these brands and the noise should go away.
