Land Rover Repair: drivers door lock stuck, hacksaw blade, latch pin

my door lock is stuck on a 2000 rover 4.0
i can't open close because nothing is moving.something must me frozen or something.
please kelp

Answer
When that happens you have to replace the latch.  But you first have to open the door!!  What we do is remove the rear door and then reach forward with a hacksaw blade to cut the latch pin.  The pin is a 1/8 wire that's replaceable for about $20.  Then you can swing the door open and remove the latch and change it.
