Land Rover Repair: Soundless Stereo, exchange unit, wiring diagrams

Hi, I just bought a 02 Freelander and everything works great that is until this morning. When I parked for the night last night the stereo was working fine. But when i got in today the stereo powered up but I can not get any sound out of any of the speakers. I have checked all of the fuses and checked all of the settings on the stereo but i could'nt find anything. Pleasee help this is driving me crazy!

If the stereo comes on and you can see stations in the dashboard display, but there is no sound, the head unit has probably failed.  If your truck were here, we would swap it and see what happened.  

You could certainly pull the head unit and use a scope to test for signal on the wires if you did not have an exchange unit to install.
