Question
hello John:
two months after removing the engine (96 RR 4.0 SE)had a used 4.0 with 80,000 miles installed two weeks ago. it run great
but today on the way to the gas station the check engine light turn on.
after fueling and on the way home the check engine light started to flash.

scanned it with OBDll and it had two fault codes << P1313 and     P1314 >> but my scanner does not have the definitions.

what are this codes and what do I need to do to fix the problem

once again John thanks for the time you take to help me

Answer
Those codes mean you have serious misfires on both sides of the engine. Could be bad plugs, wires, or coil pack.  Could be wrong installation of the same.  Could be sticking valves in the used engine.  Could be a vacuum leak.  All those possibilities need to be checked out.  If the car were here I would look at the live data on the Land Rover test computer, look at the wiring, and make a decision based on what I saw
