Land Rover Repair: 1998 Land Rover Discovery losing power, mass airflow meter, land rover discovery

Question
My 1998 Discovery starts okay, but is losing power when I accelerate.  The o2 sensor needs replacing and I have been told I need a new coil bank.  It is like it is running out of gas.  The problem initially started on the highway, the low fuel light came on at the exact moment when it seemed to be running out of gas.  I made it to the service station and got gas, but it still runs bad.  I have replaced the fuel filter and have new spark plugs and and wires.  I was also told I needed a mass airflow meter.  I replaced that with a used one that was working.  I don't know if it is the fuel pump or injectors or o2 sensor or air flow or what.  Please help.  Thanks,  Joe.

Answer
It sounds like you are just guessing, and that gets expensive fast.  I really suggest you search out a competent shop with a Autologic or T4 test system.  Drive with them and watch the live data screens when the car screws up.  The live data should tell the story, provided you can demonstrate the problem on a test drive.
