Land Rover Repair: leak transfer case, work bench, case hi

Hi John,
my name is malcolm and i have a disco build date october 93 model 5 speed manuel.Ihave a leak in the transfer case and its becoming worse.ive lose about 100ml every 2 weeks .ican not see where it is leaking from ive been under car now 6 or 7 times to clean and then inspect.i can not see where the leak is its now spraying back onto the handbrake assembly and rear axle .its not leaking from top of case its a very deceaving leak and its driving me mad.would you know if they had this problem and any info would be appreciated.im thinking about draining and trying to seal as many gaskets as i can.regards malcolm

If I were you I would pull the transfer case and reseal it.  There's an input seal, an output seal, and several case seals that leak.  You can't do any of them in the vehicle.  It's a simple job on a work bench, though.
