Land Rover Repair: radio ----, service depots, dead battery

thats the problem four dashes - - - -  From trying to enter the code wrong, 5154 isn't 5451 but I did try 3 times.  Now the four dashes, I checked my book and it said to push the 4 button for 5 seconds or so and it would go back to code but it didn't.  I pulled the fuse to simulate the dead battery that started this but no koy, drove for hours now with the radio on and no joy,  any idea?

Sometimes you have to leave the radio on for a hour before trying to enter codes again.  Depends on the brand (LR buys radios from several companies.)  Try that.  If you still have no luck, you may have to send the radio to a service depot. When the radio out out you can see what brand it is.  Alpine, Pioneer and Clarion are the most common, and all have service depots you can search online
