Land Rover Repair: \freelander that wont start, crank sensor, inertia switch

Question
Hi Nigel,
Thanks for replying, and in answer to your question,
I have checked and apparantly there is no spark and dont think there is fuel pressure. Hope that helps

Answer
If there is no spark, it is most likely either a crank sensor or a cam sensor.  A cam sensor will bring up a code, where a crank sensor usually will not.  If there are no codes, try replacing the crank sensor.  Also, make sure the inertia switch has not been tripped.

If this does not cure the problem, check the fuel pressure definitively and let me know the result.
