Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): cub pto, spindle assembly, proper model

Question
i got a free cub 1811, runs great but  it will not start if the belt is on the pto, when the belt is off it spins all the time

Answer
Hello Jason:

If the PTO Switch is Good and Current is Not Going to the PTO All the Time, then 1- the PTO Clutch has Locked Up. Replace the PTO. 2- A Spindle Bearing on the Cutter Deck has Locked Up. Spin the Spindles by hand. If they have a Grinding Sound or will Not Turn, then Replace the Bearing or the Spindle Assembly. You can View a Breakdown of the Mower at this Site Addy, http://www.emerichsales.com/home.asp and Select Shop Online, Parts and Accessories. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Cub Cadet) and Enter the Proper Model Numbers (Usually Located Under the Seat). Then Double Click on your Model. Now Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Have a Happy Holiday Season and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
