Land Rover Repair: 2003 range rover TD6(bmw engine), range rover td6, rear tailgate

Question
i cannot use the remote to open the car although it works with the key. the rear tailgate opens with the remote but the internal dashboard button does not open or lock the car. the automatic locking option on moving forward does not lock the doors either.

I would recommend checking for BCM codes and having your software updated as a starting point.  The BCM will record faults with the security and locking system.  I cannot diagnose any further without diagnostic codes.  I would not recommend trying to do anything yourself until you have done as I have advised.
