Land Rover Repair: Discovery 2003 electric problem, rear windshield, switch failure

I own a disco 2003 and have a problem, half of the display lights on the dashboard are out and at night I am unable to see half the display buttons, they just don’t light up. Also, the steering wheel buttons for setting the auto speed and the audio remote controls don’t light up as well, they work but no light. Yesterday the back windshield wiper stopped working after I tried to turn it is now only half way up and stuck. Can anyone help?

It is unlikely that your problem with the dash lights is related to the rear windshield wiper.  The rear windshield wiper will not work at all if there is a door switch failure on any of the doors.  You can also check the continuity to the rear motor, if there is voltage then the fault is in the motor.

The steering wheel buttons do not light up (there is no light).  As for your dash, you can check fuses 27, 35 & 25 in the fuse box below the steering wheel and check fuses 10 & 13 in the egine compartment fusebox.  If no fuses are blown, you can check the bulbs (there are about 20).
