Land Rover Repair: Battery Light stays on, steering wheel lock, charging system

What does it mean when the battery light comes on and stays and the steering wheel cannot be turned?

Answer
I believe you have a fault in your electrical system, the Batt light tells you there is something wrong with either the battery or charging system.  the steering wheel lock solenoid may not have power to unlock or the security system may be keeping it locked.
