Land Rover Repair: no spark, camshaft sensor, security drive

Question
i have a 1998 land rover II it does not have spark we had the ECU comp. rebuilt and still no spark what to do cranks hard but no spark could it be the camshaft sensor please help thanks

Answer
If you have removed and refitted the ECU it has probably lost the security/drive authorizaton signal from the security module.  In the USA, all Land Rovers have to go through a "security learn" and "align" function on the Land Rover test system before the ECU will allow the engine to start.

Otherwise, it will crank and crank forever.
