can you fill your transmission yourself?would i use a tube and funnel and connect it to the filler hole and turn the car on then start filling it up with fluid?can you do that?

The different Land Rover models take different transmission fluids, and the fill procedures differ from model to model.  You didn't specify what model you have, but your owners manual should tell what fluid it takes, and how to check and fill it.

It's important that you do this right, and if you're in doubt, get a specialist to do it. Wrong level or wrong fluid can cause expensive damage.
