Land Rover Repair: suspention, radius arm bushings, land rover dicovery

Question
I have a 1996 land rover dicovery. when I go down the road the rear of the vehicle wants to shift or sway back and forth. I looked at the susention and it all looks alright but I didnt know if this is a common problem. It has springs in the rear and it seems to get worse when you hit a bump or let your foot off the gas. I would be much apreciative for some input and thank you before hand.

Answer
The usual cause of that problem is worn out radius arm bushings.  The radius arms are the long arms that attach the axles to the chassis.  They run in a fore-aft direction and there's a pair of busines on each one.  They get loose and the axles wobble, and your truck wanders.

People often fit new springs and shocks when doing those busihings, and also new panhard rod bushes in front.
