Land Rover Repair: 1998 range rover air suspension, range rover air suspension, ebay

I have a 1998 range rover 4.0. My air suspension went on me and I found out it was the compressor. I obtained one on ebay and it did not work. I contacted the guy and he said to switch pin #1 to the #8 position on the eas computer. First I would like to know where the eas computer is and is this feasible about switching the pin location? Thank you for any help you can give me.

I have never had luck with home repair of the air suspension.  May I suggest you go to www.rangerovers.net and look up shupack?  He has a small business helping folks like you with self-serve air suspension parts and knowledge.
