Land Rover Repair: Crank Shaft, crank shaft, hi john

Hi John, the crank shaft on my 2001 V6 Freelander (65,000)broke and now needs a whole new engine. Do you think this is something Land Rover should provide compensation for?

I'm sorry to say that it does not make any difference what I think a car maker should do.  They do what they want anyway!

I agree that it's a crummy situation, though.  And I wish you luck with them.  Call customer relations and ask to have a rep look at your vehicle.
