Land Rover Repair: 3.9V8 EFI, air flow meter, rovers north

Question
My 3.9V8 EFI will not start. I have fuel, a spark and the engine turns over fast. If we tow and bump start the engine runs fine but it will not start with the key. I've replaced the choke sensor and air flow meter twice. Are there any checks you can suggest.

The factory workshop manual has a step by step procedure to troubleshoot this condition using hand tools and a multimeter.  If you don't have the manual I suggest getting one.
