Land Rover Repair: Disco II SE7 possible air suspension leak, air suspensions, air spring

Question
after my rover sits awhile, like overnight, sometimes he looks like he is sitting down in the morning.  I start him up and proceed to go and he raises up and levels out.  Is this a air suspension problem? can anyone fix it, or do I need to take it to landrover? will it be expensive?

Answer
Hi Tammy,

this is an air suspension problem.  It's possible to have someone else do the repair but they should be familiar with Land Rover air suspensions.  If not, you may find them do the work incorrectly and having to go to a LR dealer afterwards.  Make sure the mechanics have LR experiernce before having them do the work.

If you are not sure, go to an independent LR mechanic or a LR dealership.

The problem may be a leak in the system or the compressor.  Yes, it could be expensive, depending on what component is in need of repair.  If it's the air spring, it could be $200 to $400 each (+ labour).  The air compressor can start from $450 (+ labour).

Sometimes the dealers have access to rebuilt parts that may cost less.  You have to ask otherwise they`ll use OEM parts that cost big $$$.

Best of luck,
