Land Rover Repair: Service Engine Soon Light, risk engine, immediate service

Hi! The service engine soon light just came on last night and my question is if I need to take it to the mechanic right away.  I won't be able to go for a least 3 days and the mechanic we go to is about 50 miles away (in my hometown).  So, do I need to take it right away or can it wait til 3 days and about 75 miles later?  A response would be greatly appreciated!

If the light is on but not flashing, it means your problem is minor.  It may cost a lot to fix, or it may cost a little, but whatever it it is not life threatening to the motor

If the light were flashing you would need immediate service or risk engine damage

You can wait without worry provided it does not flash
