Land Rover Repair: Range Rover 96, wont move, accedent

Question
i just replaced the battery and took it to a shop to have it inspected when i went to drive it off the lift i hit it into 4*4 reverse on accedent now it wont move it will shift gears but not move.dose it need to be reprogramed or a new trasfer box ECU and high low motor?

Answer
Sometimes the electric motors that shift the transfer case jam from lack of use.  You may be able to get under the truck and rap with a hammer.  Otherwise you are going to need the specialist LR test system to talk to the electronics and figure out what's wrong.

My bet is a jammed motor, though.  You can remove the motor and manually wind the transfer case into hi or lo range to get going again.

Good luck!
