Land Rover Repair: Discover 2 Front Sunroof Leak, interior molding, drain tubes

Question
My 2000 Disco 2 has a bad leak from the front sunroof.  It drips out through the ceiling console.  Where are the lower drain tube ends located?  I want to attempt to blow out any debris in the drain tubes, using compressed air.

Answer
Hi Isaac,

front drain tubes are located at either forward (front) corners of your sunroof.  There is a tube attached to a spout on either side of the sunroof.  It's at the lowest possible point of the sunroof and the spouts face to either side of the vehicle (direction of front doors).  My guess is the tube go to front corner posts.

You'll have to remove the interior moldings to expose them, here's what LR states:

Sunroof - front

Remove
1. Remove headlining.
2. Remove front sunroof motor.
3. Disconnect drain tubes from sunroof tray.
4. Remove 14 screws securing sunroof tray to sunroof frame.
5. Carefully remove sunroof tray.
6. With assistance, remove sunroof frame and glass assembly.

You may be able to just remove the interior molding to expose the sunroof tray and thus reveal the drain spouts.

Best of luck,
