Land Rover Repair: 96 disco stalling problem, scanner mechanics, o2 sensors

Question
i have a 96disco with a check engine light on. vehicle seems to run fine most of the time but when at an idle the rpms drop about 300 and it seems like it going stall, and has twice on me, this doesn't happen all the time...? i had the vehicle checked by two scanner/mechanics. one said its an 1158 not sure prolly O2 sensors. other said just needs a tune up it has a miss fire, changed plugs, wires, cleaned filter, still same problem. going to do fuel filter next but you have any suggestions or a fix? thank you

Answer
My suggestion is that you find a qualified repair facility.  The diagnoses you told me are just guesses.  A shop with the proper training and Land Rover diagnostic tools should be able to sort this out for you.

Look at the shop index on www.rangerovers.net

Good luck!
