Land Rover Repair: ABS Light?, break pads, abs computer

Question
My ABS light is on. It stays on all the time. What does this mean? I have a 1991 Range Rover. I've already replaced the break pads and rotors. Will I need to replace the whole system, if need be or just the switch? If so, where should I purchase the part(s)? Thank you very much for your assistance.

Sincerely,
Richard

Answer
If you want to diagnose this yourself there is an article on www.rangerovers.net about blink code diagnosis.  Personally, I have never found that method very effective but it's all you can do without one of teh specialist Land Rover test systems.

If you have a workshop with an Autologic or similar tool they can connect to the ABS computer and read the faults.

Good luck!
