Land Rover Repair: 1999 Range Rover, obd ii scan tool, factory test

Question
Yes I have a 1999 rANGE rOVER 4.0se. The information on the instrument cluster says transmission neutral.  If you put the car in reverse or drive it will not move.  If you put the vehicle in park it makes a loud clicking sound maybe grinding like when you try to put a normal 4wd in low.  Do you know what could be causing this?  Also all the lights where you adjust the suspension are on.  They will flash but that is all.  Thank you for your help.  Justin

Answer
It sounds to me like your transfer case is stuck in neutral.  And you have a problem with the air suspension and the transfer case controls.

I'm afraid you are going to need a dealer or independent workshop with an Autologic or factory test system because those computers won't talk to a generic OBD II scan tool.

Good luck!
