Land Rover Repair: 1998 Discovery Keeps Putting, mass air meter, land rover dealer

I have a 1998 Discovery. When I press my foot down on the gas the car does not acclerate. I alos hear a koncking sound. I would appreciate any recommendations.

I suggest you find a Land Rover dealer or specialist and have it checked out right away.  Continued driving the way you describe could leave you with expensive damage.

Look for shops in the shop section of www.rangerovers.net

You could have any number of problems - a bad fuel pump, clogged filter, clogged catalyst, bad mass air meter to name a few.
