Land Rover Repair: Brake Failure, Buzzing Sound, brake failure, side mirror

Question
Hi,

I have a 1995 Range Rover 4.0 SE and have a problem with my brakes. When I start the engine and first go forward, I have to press on them very hard to stop, and the same thing happens when I go in reverse. But, if I do this a couple of times, the brakes will begin to work without any problem. I wish it was just the relays, but am wondering if it could be the booster.

Also, there are a couple of other strange things. When I turn the lights on, I hear a buzzing sound coming out of what seems to be a small box on the inside of the car near the driver side mirror. I'm not sure what is causing this.

A book and and exlamation point appear on the center console. I am assuming this is the A/C not working. The blower only blows ambient air and the foot blowers and defrost blowers don't appear to be working.

Also, the EAS MANUAL signal appears on the dash and then goes away. I believe that means I am in ACCESS mode. I have tried to get out of this mode but seem unable to do so.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Answer
sounds like bad booster. get the charging system tested, at a dealer... well anywere that can test a charging system, this could cause the other problems (not enuff power to the system).do the lights dim in & out  constantly (you will have to do this at night to see it)when the lights are on? It will be just a little bit.
