Land Rover Repair: 1999 Disco II ABS wheel senors, wheel sensors, wheel speed

Question
John, on 12/27/05 Lee Williams asked about extinguishing "Tres
Amigos" warning lights. Lee referred to "RF" wheel sensor
replacement. Does the acronym "RF" refer to right front? or
something else descriptive? I have same nagging problem of "tres
amigos" lights which reset by turning ignition off and restarting.
Rear air springs leaked and replaced. The air spring problem
caused amigos to light. Also, I installed EBC up-graded rotors.
Could that up-grade effect the wheel speed senors?  LR Dealer says
a wheel speed sensor needs replacing or cleaning. As to cleaning
such sensors, how is that achieved. Thanks, Ken

Answer
Hi Ken,

yes, RF is right front.  Upgrading your rotors should not affect the wheel sensors unless the wires were pulled during the install.  Cleaning wheel sensors...use electrical cleaning sprays...the ones that evaporate.

Best of luck,
