Land Rover Repair: ABS, TC, Hill Descent Warning Lights, discovery series ii, shuttle valve

Question
I have a 2001 Discovery Series II with just over 50K miles. Over the last several months, the ABS warning light came on while I was driving under normal conditions. It would go back off within 24 hours. This happened 2 or 3 times. Last week, the ABS, Traction Control, and Hill Descent warning lights came on while driving under normal conditions and have not gone off. I took it to the dealer and he said it might be a shuttle valve or something. He reset the code and wanted to see if it would happen again. It did. I thought I also had a seperate problem but it might be the same. The rear left air shock will fall. After I level off it goes back to normal. Do you think this could be part of the same problem?

Answer
Hi Dominic,

no, the 3 amigos (ABS, TC, HDC) are usually related to wheel sensor, ABS modulator or, as suggested by the technician, a shuttle valve or shuttle valve switch.

These guys are pests and can hang around OFF and ON for months before finally staying active permanently.

Best of luck,
