Land Rover Repair: stuck in park disco, land rover dealer, brake switch

my disco got stuck in park one time. When the dealer put it on their lift and took the pressure off the tires it came right out of park. seems the tranny was a little wound up. Thought you could pass this along. it's not always the brake switch

that's a first for me.  Thanks for the tip and I'll mention it the next time I am faced with this problem.  Has it happened since?

It never happened again.  And it's the only time I ever brought the car to the DEALERSHIP AND DIDNT GET CHARGED

that's even more amazing!  You actually brought your Disco to a LAND ROVER DEALER and they didn't charge you!  Again, this is a first.  I hope all your dealings with this dealer are as honest and fortunate.
