Land Rover Repair: Landrover Discovery2 td5, coolant level, water mixture

My landrover has diesel in the coolant, very messy and yucky! Still performing okay, but when you stop after a drive it will push the diesel/water mixture out under the vehicle somewhere. Coolant level isn't dropping, but diesel is disappearing faster than normal. The dealers where I live have never heard of the problem. About 2 years ago it had the turbo and associated components replaced. No other problems until now. Could it be a cracked head?

A cracked head would not put diesel into the coolant.  Look at the injection pump - that is a more likely place for diesel and coolant to mix.  I agree your problem is unusual and in fact I have seen lots of Rovers but never one with this particular issue
