Land Rover Repair: seat switch, electric seat, steering columns

Question
1990 Range Rover, 3.9 petrol engine. The electric seat controlers are not functioning at all levels. Only certain movements are able on each seat switch. I have opened the component yet I find nothing visibly wrong as far as wiring. The wiring going to the underneath of the seat is hard to get to, haven't made it that far yet. Any help regarding this would be much appreciated.
Also does this model or any of the models come with adjustable steering columns? Thank You.

Answer
Hi Valerie,

here is a website that may address your problem.  Many older LR's have problems like this and its often attributed to tarnished contacts and corroded wires.

This site has some excellent pictures to help you disassemble, clean and repair the seat switches.  The site also has some excellent Rangie links you could use for other topics.

Best of luck,
