Land Rover Repair: Range Rover 2004 transmission, steering pumps, salvage yards

Dear Sir, I would like to know if you know an aproximate price of a complete set of the Range Rover's 2004 transmission?  Do you know where I can ask for a quote about this trasmission?  besides the dealer?

Hi Daniel,

have you looked at some reputable salvage yards?  Here is a website that can search all over North America for auto parts.  I've used this to find brake parts, steering pumps and other components for my Discovery.  I know you can find Rangie parts there as well...

Just key in your Rangie info and let the search engine find you what you want.

I took a quick look and found eight possible tranny's.

Quick question:  are you not covered by a warranty?

A 20004 Range Rover transmission (salvage) is about $2500

If you go to the dealer, you're looking at $10000
