Land Rover Repair: Diagnostic Code P0734-4th Gear Incorrect Ratio?, clutch adjustment, hydraulic clutch

I have a 2000 DII, and this has popped up a couple of times-Happens while driving. Was told it was a sensor-I have searched for quite a while, and can find no more info-Can you help?

Hi Johnny,

do you have any other symptoms? This usually indicates that you are having 4th gear problems within your transmission. It could be a hydraulic clutch adjustment that is needed.  This is not serviceable by most DIY'ers and requires the expertise of a Land Rover mechanic.

You may have to connect your Disco II to the LR testbook in order to have further diagnosis performed.
