Land Rover Repair: Help me on problem-flashers & turn signals, flasher button, capable hands

Question
95 Discovery-something under the dash smoked while the engine was running with the flashers on. Now I DO NOT have turn signals or Emerg. Flashers. I'm very experienced in electrical, yet I'm stumped! I've checked the fuse, flasher, and emerg. flasher button as well as all the wiring I can see. I've visually checked any relays that I could find  hoping to find one burnt. Nothing! No diagram to go by! What the heck have I missed? What usually burns out in this circuit? HELP!

Hi Gary,

this is beyond my normal powers...I've pass this problem along to more capable hands.

I had a similar problem with my Buick - turned out that the the turn signal fuse overheated and caused smoke to waft up from the dashboard.

Again, I had to rely upon the expertise of the dealership.  Automotive Electricals are not my strong suit but I am learning as I go.

I'll get back to you.
