Land Rover Repair: 1999 Disco Rear Seats Latch, liquid wrench, overspray

I have a 1999 Series II Discovery with the back seats that fold down.  Something is wrong with the latch on both seats, and the back of the seats will no longer lock into place (i.e., they fall forward with a small amount of force).  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Hi Darren,

I'd consider having them lubricated to see if that allows them to lock OR have them replaced.  Buy some liquid Wrench or WD40 to spray into the lock mechanism.  Use the straw to penetrate into the small area and keep a rag close at hand to catch overspray and leakage.

If this does not work, have them replaced.
