Hi Steve,

this is a common problem for series II Disco's with HDC, ACE and ABS.  Unfortunately, you'll have to drag your LR into the dealer for service.  Could be the 'spider' immobiliser but I'll bet its an ABS related problem.

Not having a series II, I can't help you much.  You might consider trying www.disco2.com website.  They may have more info for you.  I do know that in the UK this was a recall problem BUT not for the US and Canada.
