Motorcycle Repair: key cylinder, honda st50, microfiche services

Question
i have completely dissasembled my key cylinder/switch on my 81 honda ct70 to find the numbers to order a new key (have no existing key) but cannot find any numbers anywhere. where would these numbers be located? i have looked on all sides, top and bottom thanks!

Answer
Gary, the switch numbers are generally stamped on the outside face of the switch on OEM parts. You may have an aftermarket replacement on your hands. If your switch is torn down to the basic parts, you should just take it to a locksmith and have them cut a key to the current configuration.

Does it look like this?

Unfortunately, the online microfiche services do not show the correct illustration for the ignition switch! I checked with bikebandit.com and cmsnl.com sites and they use the same illustrations, which do not show the switch....
