Land Rover Repair: ABS downhill light, abs system, hdc

Mr. expert,
I am very frusterated. I love my car and it runs great, but my lights (all of my lights alway's come on and there is nothing wrong with my Land Rover. Should I just have my codes cleared.

just call me John, or if you prefer, his right most gifted homme du l'heure.  On second thought...John is ok.

Christy, am I correct in stating that you have a newer LR Disco?  One with TC, HDC and ABS?  I think this may be a common problem that your dealer can fix.  In the UK, LR was recalling vehicles to address this problem.  I am not sure which LR's are affected but your dealer will know.

Apparently, the ECU that controls the ABS system has some problems.  It could be a faulty wheel sensor too.  Only a LR dealer can tell.  

Flushing the codes (reset) won't change a thing.  Usually, it comes back after 100 or so kms.

So...ask your dealer and determine if you have the dreaded ABS ECU problem.
