Land Rover Repair: Discovery self levelling, blown fuse, compression tests

Question
Hi,

I have a problem with the self levelling system on my 2000 Disco (just out of warranty).

All of a sudden the car rode a bit lower.  I checked the fuses and sure enough, one was blown.
I replaced and all was well again.  It looks a little bit low again a month later, but no blown fuse.???  If I hit the manual self levelling button on the dash it blinks like it's working but never stops blinking to suggest completion and the car doesn't increase its' height.??

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Answer
Hello Robert,

This sounds like an air leak.  Could be in your compressor or could be in your air springs suspension.

This is common with SLS systems and LR.  The big question is WHERE is the leak?  You'll have to bite the bullet and have LR run compression tests to determine the cause.

Best of luck,
