Land Rover Repair: SECURITY LIGHT, negative cable, security light

I WAS LOCKING THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR, UNLOCKED IT AND LOCKED IT BACK...THE SECURITY LIGHT UNDER THE GAUGES IS NOW RED AND DID NOT GO OFF WHEN I STARTED THE ENGINE? WILL IT GO OFF WITH TIME OR IS THERE A SECRET TRICK INVOLVED...THANK YOU

Hi Taylor,

you may have inadvertantly started a resequence of the security system that ties into your remote key fob.   You could try resetting this by removing the negative cable from your battery for a few seconds.  Once reconnected, you will have to reenter the security code for your radio and reset the time on your clock.

There is a sequence of events to reprogram the remote access key fob and security system.  Perhaps this is what happened in your case.  Do you have any trouble activating the locks with your remote key fob?
