Lexus Repair: steering, power steering fluid leak, lexus ls400

Question
I bought my son a 1994 Lexus LS400, 8cyl., 120,000miles. It started running low on power steering fluid. He & I started adding Dextron power steering fluid every two or three days, even though we couldn't find a leak & there is no fluid on the ground. Now the steering has gone out completely, the check engine light is on & a staedy stream of white smoke is coming out of the exhaust. Could the fluid be leaking into the engine somehow?

Answer
Hello Mark,
There is a VSV(Vaccum switching Vavle)on your power steering pump.  The power steering fluid leak through there.  I would replace the switch.  Also it wouldn't hurt to put the vehicle on a lift to inspect for leaks.
