Lexus Repair: check engine light, is300, error codes

Question
how can i disable the check engne light?
a diagnostic scan resulted in no error codes, and the vehicle runs fine.
however that light drives me nuts. the car is a 2001 is300(e-shift)57000 miles.
please help ,thanks in advance

Hello, You can't. If there is a light on then there is a code. It may be that the code reader or scanner that is being used is not able to pick it up. I would have the dealer scan it to see what is wrong. If it is a emissions related code it could even be under warranty.
